Vote Basset Pawction rules:
The purpose of this Pawction is to raise money for Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue by selling First Lady, Cabinet level, Am-Basset-orial and other pawsitions within the administration of President Hoss Da Boss. The other purpose is to have fun!
How the Pawction works:
Available pawsitions are listed on the Pawction page. Pawtential officeholders may bid for the pawsitions. Highest bidder at the time the Pawction ends wins the pawsition. Some pawsitions may allow fundraiser voting, with friends and family able to vote in exchange for a monetary donation. In this case, total dollars raised will determine the winner.
Winners will be featured on the final Pawction page, along with photos if provided. They will also be listed in an ad in BUGLER magazine, June issue. Some offices may be available for ‘Paw it Now’ donations. Pawsitions not listed here may be suggested and paid for independently.
- Rule number 1: Pawsitions may be obtained either through bidding, with the high bidder taking the prize; through a combination of bidding and additional voting, with highest amount awarded the prize; through ‘Paw It Now’ pledges or independently suggested and purchased outright.
- Rule number 2: The bidding begins when the site is active, and ends April 12, 2008.
- Rule number 3: By bidding on a position, you acknowledge that you are making a contribution to Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue, and pledging to pay the top amount before April 15, 2008, should you be top bidder.
- Rule number 4: Bidding is open to all who are able to and committed to pay their pledge; all breeds, species, genders, color palettes and opinion-holders are invited to pawticipate.
- Rule number 5: Payment may be made via PayPal (not tax-deductible) or by check made payable to TSBHR (tax-deductible). For information about TSBHR, a 501(c)3 organization, please go to http://www.tristatebassets.org. Checks will not be cashed until May 2008.
- Rule number 6: Payment must be confirmed by April 15, 2008 and received by April 20, 2008. In the event that payment has not been confirmed by April 15, the pawsition will be awarded to the next highest bidder, assuming they can pay by April 20, 2008.
